KhatMarouf was started in 2018, when a young student in high school decided to pursue his passion for beautifying the words of Allah.

He spent three years trying to learn by himself through books and videos, but made little progress. That is until he decided to go abroad and study formally under Ustath Anwar Al-Helwani, who he worked under for two years. He then started working with his second and third teachers; Ustath Yacoub Ibrahim Shawrieh in Amman, Jordan, and Ustath Hayder Mohsin in Dallas, Texas, both of which were students and good friends of the late Abbas Al-Baghdadi (رحمة االله عليه). The mission of KhatMarouf is to help people learn Arabic calligraphy, virtually and in-person, while maintaining the traditional methods.

The way our courses are designed and recorded, the student gets to see clear and up-close footage to help understand the small details that add up in the overall journey to excellence.
